Defensive line hit by injuries
It doesn't look good for Jovan Haye.
The Bucs defensive tackle, who suffered a knee injury against the Saints Sunday, did not practice again Friday.
Haye was listed as doubtful when the injury report was released Friday. He was not alone. Defensive end Gaines Adams, who has a hip pointer, was limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable. Defensive end Kevin Carter has an illness and also is questionable.
That would leave Chris Hovan as the only completely healthy starting defensive lineman.
Ryan Sims will likely start in Haye's spot and second-year defensive tackle Greg Peterson will be active and in the rotation.
Coach Jon Gruden said he did not know if Haye's injury could linger.
"You try not to speculate,'' Gruden said. "We hope to have him back if not this week, the following week. But it could linger on. I don't know.'
Receiver Michael Clayton (knee) had full participation in practice Friday but was still listed as questionable for the game.
