Bucs Beat

Dolphins-Bucs will be televised locally

The Bucs say their game against Miami on Thursday night will be televised locally.

That means the game has met the sellout requirement prior to the deadline, 72 hours before kickoff. The game, scheduled for 8 p.m., will be televised nationally on Fox, Channel 13 in Tampa Bay.

However, the Bucs say there are a limited number of seats remaining for the game. Given the available seats, and the fact the game was even in jeopardy of being blacked out, it all could suggest the speculation about slow ticket sales is quite legitimate.

Regarding blackout rules, the NFL requires games be sold out at least 72 hours prior to kickoff or the broadcast cannot be shown within a 75-mile radius.
