Eagles game moved, Bucs to play waiting game
Not surprisingly, the NFL has announced that Sunday's Cowboys-Eagles game has been flexed to a 4:15 p.m. kickoff, something that does not bode well for the Bucs.
Here's why: If the Bucs defeat the Raiders in their 1 p.m. contest, the Eagles will know they've been eliminated from postseason contention before they kick off against Dallas. If that's the case, it's hard to imagine the Eagles being as pumped up for the game as they might have been when they thought the playoffs were still a possibility. Also, when the Bucs game is over, they still won't know their ultimate fate.
So, as if the Bucs weren't already enough of a long shot, this move potentially makes their path a little tougher.
