Finnegan to sign with Rams, Tolbert visiting Chiefs

The Bucs have Vincent Jackson officially on board and are hopeful they'll be able to land Saints free agent Carl Nicks, but they won't get every player who was on their radar.

Titans free-agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan reportedly is bound for the Rams, with whom he'll sign a five-year deal. It's unclear whether the Bucs saw Finnegan as a realistic option, but he was repeatedly linked to Tampa Bay in recent media reports.

Elsewhere, Chargers free agent running back Mike Tolbert, who the Bucs contacted after the start of the signing period this afternoon, is headed to Kansas City for a visit with the Chiefs. Tolbert isn't necessarily a lock to sign with the Chiefs, however, because the team also is expected to host Browns free-agent running back Peyton Hillis.

The team likely will sign just one of the two given the presence of Jamaal Charles, the NFL's second-leading rusher in 2010.
