Interesting Bucs selections in mock drafts
There are a couple of mock drafts that I've been paying particular attention to because they're are produced by people who know a lot more about the draft than I do.
The first is a three-round mock by Pat Kirwan of NFL.com, a former front-office executive. Kirwan has the Bucs selecting DT Gerald McCoy (Oklahoma) in Round 1, DE Everson Griffen (USC) and WR Damian Williams (USC) in the second round, and WR Mardy Gilyard (Cincinnati) in the third round.
Then, Mel Kiper has a thorough four-round mock on ESPN.com that's worth looking at (you need ESPN Insider access to see the whole thing). He, too, has McCoy pegged to go third overall in the first round. In the second, he has the Bucs taking WR Golden Tate (Notre Dame) and CB Devin McCourty (Rutgers) in the second round. His third-round choice is DE Corey Wooten (Northwestern) and his fourth-round selection is OL Ramon Harwwood (Morehouse).
Obviously, the deeper into the draft you get the more it becomes a matter of guesswork. But consider these educated guesses, which at this time of year -- when speculation and misinformation rule -- is about as reliable as anything.
