Jeremy Trueblood signs tender offer

Bucs starting right tackle Jeremy Trueblood has signed his restricted free agent tender, locking him into a one-year guaranteed contract at  $1.759 million.

The team announced the signing moments ago. This is largely a formality as restricted free agents who do not sign an offer sheet with another club and whose teams tendered an offer are restricted from going elsewhere.

Trueblood is entering his fifth season after he was the team's second-round draft choice in 2006.

He has been at least adequate if not better as a blocker, but he has drawn the ire of his coaches and teammates with his propensity for not restraining his emotions and committing costly personal foul penalties.

The Bucs have two remaining unsigned restricted free agents: Cadillac Williams and Donald Penn.
