Joel Glazer: Tampa Bay Buccaneers may face blackouts
Bucs co-chairman Joel Glazer acknowledged Wednesday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' season ticket base has fallen to about 45,000 and fans may face blackouts of home games for the first time since the Glazer family bought the team in 1995.
Attendance at games last year was spotty, but the Bucs reported sellouts to the league and all home games were televised. This year may be different coming off a 3-13 season and planning to build through the draft. The NFL has a policy of blacking out television broadcasts of home games that do not sell out to encourage ticket sales.
