Josh Freeman appears on track to play vs. Jaguars
Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman is under center during the week's final practice for Sunday's game at Jacksonville, meaning he is on track to return to the lineup after missing a game with a shoulder injury.
Freeman sat out last Sunday's game against Carolina with a shoulder injury, but he resumed throwing on Thursday and during this morning's practice is taking first-team snaps. Freeman's return gives the Bucs a decent chance to end their current six-game losing streak as they'll be taking on an injury-plagued Jaguars defense.
Also on the injury front, defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (knee) and tight end Luke Stocker (hip) returned today after missing the past two days. However, cornerback Aqib Talib (hamstring) is not dressed and does not appear to be a participant in today's workout. His availability for Sunday is very much in question. Safety Larry Asante, a late addition to this week's injury report with a hamstring injury and is not practicing, either.
We'll have definitive updates after today's practice, when coach Raheem Morris briefs reporters.
