Kellen Winslow active, Kareem Huggins inactive against Panthers

Tight end Kellen Winslow is active for the Bucs and is on the field warming up as of this writing.

Winslow had been listed as questionable for today's game here at Carolina because of knee pain, but he will be able to play despite not practicing on Wednesday and Thursday and on a limited basis on Friday.

The news is not as good for running back Kareem Huggins, who will miss the game with a groin injury. Huggins, the backup to Cadillac Williams, was supposed to take on a bigger role in the offense today. Now, those complementary carries will go to Earnest Graham and new acquisition Kregg Lumpkin.

Also among the Bucs' inactives: running back LeGarrette Blount, defensive end Michael Bennett, cornerback Myron Lewis and receiver Preston Parker.

For the Panthers, injured rookie receiver Brandon LaFell is inactive today, too.

I'll be back with my live blogging session just before today's 1 p.m. kickoff.
