Oregon coach Chip Kelly, who reversed course and abandoned his jump to the NFL, issued a statement Monday saying he had 'unfinished business,' with the Ducks football program.

"I am flattered by the interest of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ organization,'' Kelly said in a statement. "I enjoyed meeting with the Glazer family and General Manager Mark Dominik but after numerous discussions, I concluded  that I have some unfinished business to complete at the University of Oregon."

Kelly has led the Ducks to three straight BCS games, including a loss to Auburn on a last-second field goal in the 2010 national championship game.

He cancelled a recruiting trip to Sacramento and both sides were working on a possible agreement for Kelly to become the Bucs head coach later this week.

News of Kelly's meeting last week with the Glazer family that owns the Bucs and general manager Mark Dominik broke around 8 p.m. (EST) Sunday. Talks went through the night but by 5:20 a.m. Monday, he informed the Bucs he had decided to remain at Oregon.
