Locker shuffle is attempt to grow team closer, Greg Schiano says
The Bucs have reshuffled their locker room this season and coach Greg Schiano says the pairings are not by accident.
Rather than group players by position, as is customary in the NFL, the Bucs have placed some offensive players next to defensive players while also blending personalities.
This season, Ronde Barber is next to LeGarrette Blount. Aqib Talib's locker shares a wall with the one occupied by Quincy Black, etc.
"There’s a reason. That’s just my thoughts on how to mix the team up,'' Schiano said. "You spend so much time with your position group, right? And then, second to that, you spend the next amount of time with your unit, you know, offense or defense. We’ve done several things to try to make everybody know each other, understand each other and grow closer as a team.''
