Loss of Peyton Manning could be the Bucs' gain
When the Bucs host the Colts on Monday Night Football on Oct. 3, it was billed as a premier matchup.
With today's news that Peyton Manning underwent a procedure to address his lingering neck injury, a procedure that could reportedly could sideline him for months, the Bucs got a fortuitous bounce of the football.
It's unknown how long the Colts will be without Manning, but there does not appear to be a scenario that has him returning in time to play against the Bucs in Week 4. That means the Bucs are likely to face Kerry Collins as the Colts' starting quarterback.
