Michael Clayton finds new team -- in UFL
Michael Clayton finally has a new team: the Omaha Nighthawks.
Clayton, released by the Bucs at final cuts last month, struggled to find an NFL team to take him despite a couple of workouts, and now has opted for the UFL, the NFL's rival league. There, Clayton will re-join former Bucs quarterback Jeff Garcia and coach Jeff Jagodzinski, who had a brief stint as Tampa Bay's offensive coordinator.
The Bucs released Clayton despite his having three years remaining on a four-year contract after his significant underperformance. Clayton was the Bucs' first-round pick in 2004.
