Moore: Bush is worthy 2005 Heisman Trophy winner
Bucs defensive lineman Kyle Moore, who played with Saints running back Reggie Bush at Southern Cal, was asked about the reports that the Heisman Trust may strip Bush of his Heisman Trophy won in 2005.
The NCAA ruled in June that Bush accepted cash, gifts and other benefits in violation of NCAA rules while at USC, and was ruled retroactively ineligible for part of 2004 and all of 2005.
"Everybody knows who the best college football player was that year when he won the Heisman," Moore said. "You can't take that. They can strip it and do whatever, but it's not going to change the Heisman that's still sitting in his living room. It kind of sucks for the record books and stuff like that. But I know, as well as the world knows it, and anybody that's watched Reggie Bush, he was the best player that year."
