More banners: Talib, Bryant get honors
We'd told you Tuesday that linebacker Barrett Ruud was the first Bucs player graced with a new banner hanging from the outside of Raymond James Stadium, and now we can report two new names: Cornerback Aqib Talib and receiver Antonio Bryant.
Talib and Bryant were added Wednesday on the northwest corner of the stadium -- you can see them easily while driving southbound on Dale Mabry Highway. With three names now known, we'll ask you to do the rest of the exterior decorating at RayJay -- what players do you think will get their own banners in the next few days?
Seems like cornerback Ronde Barber would make a lot of sense, but competition at key positions like quarterback and running back makes it hard to project all the highlighted players. Who's more likely from the defensive line: end Gaines Adams or tackle Chris Hovan? Since it's hard to know who will be taking snaps from week to week, would the Bucs make an 80-foot commitment to any of their quarterbacks?
