More changes ahead for Bucs' front office
It's not exactly expected to be a housecleaning, but Tuesday's news that Doug Williams is leaving the Bucs' front office likely won't be the only move.
General manager Mark Dominik said Tuesday that there are almost certain to be other changes, but he offered no hint as to what might be coming nor did he indicate a time frame.
It's impossible to know who might go and who might stay, but a couple of the remaining personnel that are likely to be under scrutiny are college scouting director Dennis Hickey, pro scout Shelton Quarles and the team's entire staff of college scouts. Hickey and Dominik are close friends and work closely together, but no one has been given any assurances about their future.
Dominik has said he intended all along to re-evaluate the scouting staff, in particular, after the draft. Dominik also made it known that he will hire a replacement for Williams, wanting to make it known Williams' departure had nothing to do with money.
We'll keep an eye on things and bring you the news as it unfolds.
