No kneel-down drama, but Bucs go after the ball again
ARLINGTON, Texas -- We would be remiss if we didn’t address the kneel-down situation at the conclusion of today's game.
After exclaiming for a week that he would not hesitate to repeat last week’s aggressive attack of the Giants’ kneel-down at the end of the game, Bucs coach Greg Schiano ordered his players to do the same when the Cowboys attempted to kill the clock on Sunday.
This time, it was anticlimactic, largely because the Cowboys were ready and pushed back.
One difference: This time, Schiano took things a step further. He called timeouts after Cowboys QB Tony Romo knelt twice. On third down, with seven seconds left, the Bucs were called for offsides and the game ended without incident.
“That was right up there with one of the most physically tough games I’ve been a part of,” Romo said.
