With OL injuries mounting, Bucs to promote Hardman, release Pressley
The Bucs apparently are pretty concerned about the mounting injuries along their offensive line.
The team is planning to promote guard Derek Hardman from its practice squad, giving them some depth they'll potentially need with starting left guard Keydrick Vincent in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Rams with back spasms. Starting right guard Davin Joseph has a knee injury and is listed as questionable, but all indications are that he will play unless there is an unforeseen setback.
To make room for Hardman, the team plans to release fullback Chris Pressley, the team's only true fullback. Earnest Graham -- a converted tailback -- is suffering from a hamstring injury and is questionable, too. That's why the Bucs have been working to get tailback Kregg Lumpkin cross-trained as a fullback. Erik Lorig, a converted defensive end, has been playing fullback, too.
