Panthers banged up with Bucs game approaching
The Panthers, who fell to 1-7 on Sunday, now have new problems on their hands.
Quarterback Matt Moore was placed on injured reserve today after suffering a shoulder injury. It's been reported that Moore suffered a torn labrum and will miss six months of action. The question now is whether coach John Fox will start Jimmy Clausen, as expected, or possibly consider another rookie, Tony Pike. Fox said today he hasn't made a decision yet.
The Panthers also suffered another blow, with starting middle linebacker Dan Connor also placed on injured reserve today with a hip injury that will require surgery.
With these latest injuries, it would seem that, for probably the first time this season, the Bucs will be heavy favorites in a game.
