Pats' OchoCinco to Bucs' Foster: "Great hit"
If you were worried that Patriots receiver Chad Ochocinco would harbor any hard feelings against Bucs rookie Mason Foster for the personal foul hit Foster delivered in Thursday night's game, forget it.
Not only does Ochocinco not have a problem with the hit, he gave Foster a virtual pat on the back -- via Twitter of course.
Earlier today, Ochocinco posted the following on his Twitter account: "@Mason_Foster great hit last night. if u're fined I'll reimburse u boss. That's the way the game should b played.Stay healthy n have a good yr"
Foster could be fined for the hit given the NFL's heightened awareness of unnecessary roughness and hits to the head area. The league office might determine that Foster launched himself into Ochocinco, something that is considered no-no under present contact rules.
Unfortunately for Foster, NFL on-field discipline honcho Ray Anderson was in attendance at last night's game and got a first-hand look at the hit. It's Anderson's job to determine penalties for such infractions.
Let's see if Ochocinco follows through if and when Foster gets slapped with a fine. For video of Foster's big hit, click here.
