Here are some highlights from Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris' Monday news conference.

On Sunday's win over Carolina:

"Fun game to watch. Offensively, too many penalties, some things that slow us down. We have to go out and get better and better every week."

On the defense and special teams:

"We were able to bounce back in the second half. Special teams-wise our coverage game was really good yesterday. But returning the football, we have to be more consistent."

On the offensive line:

The thing I see on tape is a nasty demeanor. Those guys play hard ..."

On Ted Larsen:

"You've got to be really pleased with the way Larsen has been playing. He's been one of those hidden gems."

On the Bucs' approach:

"We're focusing on consistency this quarter. For our guys, it's about being consistent and getting better and better every week. We're going out and we're competing and we're putting our best foot forward every week."

On Jeremy Trueblood's injury:

"Jeremy's fighting back from the injury, he's not 100-percent. He still had a little bit of a hobble. So we decided to go with James (Lee) again."

On Arron Sears' arrest:

"My thoughts and prayers are with Arron."

More on the special teams:

"It's just the National Football League. Yesterday our return game couldn't get going. We made some critical errors. You can't rely on excuse through a mistake on any one particular error of your football team."

On playing at San Francisco this Sunday:

"We're the West Coast killers right now (laughing). It's always a tough trip to take on the West Coast. We'll go over, we'll follow our format, follow our plan. We've had some success going over to that side."

"Right now I'm looking at the San Francisco 49ers ... we've got to be ready to deal (with the teams many weapons)."

On Cadillac Williams' role:

"Cadillac is not one of our team captains, but he's one of our team characters. If you don't know how much Cadillac has helped LeGarrette Blount get to this point, then you're sadly mistaken."

"Cadillac is the ultimate character guy on our football team."

On Aqib Talib:

"The last three weeks, what Aqib Talib has been able to do ... has been unbelievable. To watch him become this complete corner is really fun to watch. It's really been special. He's fun to watch."

"I hope he continues to grow, because you guys are seeing a great corner there."

On Earnest Graham's availability Sunday:

"I hope he can. If Earnest can go, he's kind of on that Faine treatment. If he can go, we're ready for him."
