Remembering Micheal Spurlock and his mark on Buccaneers history
You might have heard on Wednesday that former Bucs receiver/return man Micheal Spurlock signed with the Chargers, where he'll be reunited with former Bucs special teams coach Rich Bisaccia.
Spurlock had become the odd man out in the Bucs' receiving corps last season, playing sparingly and catching just two passes. He also had become an afterthought on special teams because receivers like Preston Parker -- who had a bigger role in the passing game -- proved more valuable on game day.
But despite his limited role in 2011, we can't forget Spurlock's place in Bucs history. So, let us take some time to reflect on Spurlock's greatest contribution: The franchise's first kick-return touchdown, coming against Atlanta in 2007.
