Report: Bucs claim Patriots C Ted Larsen off waivers
The Bucs began raiding NFL teams for talent by claiming center Ted Larsen off waivers from the New England Patriots, according to ESPNBoston.com.
The 6-foot-2, 305-pound Larsen was a sixth-round pick by the Patriots from North Carolina State. The Patriots had hoped to sneak him through waivers and re-sign him to their practice squad.
Larsen is a Tampa Bay native. He played at Palm Harbor University High School.
The Bucs have not confirmed the transaction, but upon completion, they will have to release a player to make room for Larsen on the roster. Tampa Bay kept seven receivers, so that's the position most likely to be trimmed.
