Ronde Barber named NFC Defensive Player of the Week
Bucs cornerback Ronde Barber, on the heels of his stellar performance against the Falcons, has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
It's the fourth time Barber has received the honor. Against Atlanta, Barber had four tackles, one for a loss, a fumble recovery, interception and five passes defensed.
Barber, the oldest player on the team at 36, shows no sign of slowing down. He even covered Falcons receiver Roddy White, at times, one on one. In other instances, Barber was responsible for shadowing Falcons great Tony Gonzalez.
Barber's interception was the 41st of his career.
