Sears out, Morris assumes Zuttah is starting LG

With Arron Sears still dealing with unresolved 'personal issues,' and either unwilling or unable to participate in the mandatory minicamp, coach Raheem Morris said the starting left guard job is Jeremy Zuttah's to take.

"He has been (during) the voluntary minicamp,'' Morris said Tuesday. "I go out there every day and I see at (left) guard is Jeremy Zuttah. I look out there and see that number, so that's the guy that's starting for us right now, that's the guy in that role, that's his job to go out and assume and take.''

Morris would not speculate on when, or if, Sears will be able to rejoin the team later this season.

"To be honest, I really can't answer that question, being that it's a private matter'' Morris said. "But I'm just hopeful and I'm concerned.''
