Selmon in 'extremely critical condition'
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and NFL Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon reportedly suffered a stroke Friday afternoon and is in “extremely critical condition,’’ according to USF spokesman Michael Hoad.
Earlier in the evening, there were conflicting reports about Selmon’s condition.
Selmon’s restaurant first issued a statement saying Selmon had died, but Selmon’s brother, Dewey, told Ch. 10 he is alive and in serious condition. A publicist for the restaurant later tweeted that the statement was issued prematurely.
