Sitting on the bubble, Preston Parker makes one last push
Receiver Preston Parker made his final push to make the final roster tonight, and all he can do is hope it was enough.
Though he probably doesn't make the team based on his contributions as a receiver, Parker did catch two passes for 45 yards against the Texans tonight, including a 29-yard reception.
But Parker is a big contributor on special teams. Thursday, he had two kick returns for 46 yards, a 23-yard average.
"Whatever opportunity they give you, you have to take advantage of it and practice how you play," Parker said. "I've played special teams all my life. So, if they tell me to get out there, I do it. I just got out there and showed them I can help the team win."
The next couple days won't be fun, Parker admits.
"Praying and waiting," he said. "That's all you can do. If you get released, you just keep pushing."
