Vincent Jackson, clearly the top wide receiver available in free agency, could be closing in on a deal with the Bucs now that the NFL's new league year is underway.

Insiders said as much, portraying a possible deal as a virtual certainty. The Bucs have long been considered a potential landing spot for Jackson, but indications became stronger beginning Monday night within the agent community and continue to grow this afternoon.

Several other dominoes have fallen in the receivers market, with Chicago addressing their need by trading for Brandon Marshall of the Dolphins. Meanwhile, the Redskins are getting Colts free agent Pierre Garcon, who announced the decision on his Twitter page.

Meanwhile, NFL.com is reporting that the news of Jackson's expected signing with the Bucs has already prompted other remaining free-agent receivers to look at other landing spots.
