Talib not sure if he'll play Sunday; injury update on Freeman
Bucs cornerback Aqib Talib has played through a hamstring injury this season, but after tweaking it again in the first series of Sunday's game, it's uncertain if he'll play next week.
"It's too early to know anything," Talib said Monday.
Coach Raheem Morris said Talib will go through the MRI process, but pointed out the corner has a lot of pain tolerance.
"He's a tough kid, his toughness is off the charts when it comes to dealing with certain kind of Ronde (Barber) like in that sense," Morris said. "He came out pretty early, fourth play of the game. We'll have to see where he is, go through the MRI process, when you can run, see if you can run."
Morris said he's hopeful quarterback Josh Freeman, who missed Sunday's game with a right shoulder injury, will be able to practice by Wednesday. Freeman said today his plan is to rehab the next couple days and resume throwing on Wednesday, feeling optimistic he could return against the Jaguars.
"You don't want to hurt your quarterback any further," Morris said. "You want to be smart with him and figure out what he can do and how fast you can let him do it."
