Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris gives injury roundup; Clayton hurts hamstring
Coach Raheem Morris just wrapped up his daily press conference, one which began with long list of injury updates.
WR Antonio Bryant (knee) remains day to day and did not practice this morning. He could return Thursday. TE Kellen Winslow (ankle) is very close to a return and might be available this afternoon, according to Morris. Ditto for K Matt Bryant, who is likely back tomorrow.
The news was not as encouraging for LB Angelo Crowell, whose hamstring injury is expected to sideline him through the middle of next week. That will put a serious dent in his hopes to establish himself as a candidate to start on the strong-side. In fact, with Geno Hayes now taking snaps there behind current first-team Quincy Black, Crowell's status nearing a precarious position on the roster.
WR Michael Clayton sustained a hamstring injury this morning, but Morris did not have an update on his condition. Finally, WR Joel Filani (hamstring) could be out until next week.
