Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Gaines Adams expected to play, not start vs Redskins
Defensive end Gaines Adams, who has a groin injury and did not practice this week, is expected to play but not start today against the Washington Redskins.
Adams still is technically a 'game-time decision,' along with WR Antonio Bryant (knee) and RB Derrick Ward (knee). But all three players accompanied the team to D.C.
Stylez White is expected to start at right defensive end in place of Adams. But the limited role for Adams is the result of his injury, not ineffectiveness. Adams does not have a sack this season.
We'll update the status of Adams and others later this morning.
