TE Luke Stocker week-to-week with hip injury
Bucs rookie tight end Luke Stocker was on crutches during Saturday's practice, saying he's out week-to-week with a right hip injury suffered Friday.
The Bucs had traded up 12 spots in the fourth round to select Stocker, the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder from the University of Tennessee. Stocker said this was "absolutely not" the way he envisioned starting his first NFL training camp.
"It's a crappy hand you got dealt, and I've got to play it now," Stocker said. "It's a raw deal."
Stocker said he jammed his hip during Friday's practice after getting caught in an awkward position and got twisted up.
"It's one of those things, just get some weight off of it, and take it a week at a time and see if we can get it back feeling right," he said.
