TE Winslow recovering from knee scope; RB Ward returns
Tight end Kellen Winslow is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the Bucs confirmed Tuesday.
The minor procedure was to "clean up" some scar tissue from four previous surgeries and Winslow is expected to make a full recovery in a few weeks.
Winslow did not attend the Bucs' first day of voluntary Organized Team Activities Monday. Coach Raheem Morris hinted that some players are recovering from minor injuries. Guard Davin Joseph also had arthroscopic surgery on his knee and did not practice.
Running back Derrick Ward, who missed Monday's workout, is practicing today.
"Obviously it is voluntary,'' Morris said Monday. "Ward and Winslow have been around a little bit in the offseason program. We've seen them around. They are both working out through injuries – former injuries – getting healthy. I got a feeling you'll see those guys shortly."
