Final cuts are due at 4 p.m. today and we'll bring you the news as soon as they are announced. That, unfortunately, may not happen until well after they are received by the league office.
There no doubt have been some tough choices to make over the past 24 hours, not the least of which is what to do with Chris Simms. Beyond that, the Bucs will have to determine how injuries will affect their personnel decisions, too.
I'll be particularly interested to see what happens to guys like Alan Zemaitis, a fourth-round pick last season. Another guy I'll be looking for is 2007 fifth-rounder Greg Peterson, though I think he'll make it.
Elsewhere, word is Paris Warren is up and about after undergoing ankle surgery late Thursday night. His agent told me yesterday that Warren did sustain some ligament damage, but we still aren't sure about his estimated recovery time. Rest assured, however, it will be at least several months.
