Throwback jerseys: Bucs fans still wear 'em
With a busy offseason that saw a lot of popular veterans cut from the Bucs, there's a good chance the replica jersey you're wearing in the stands is a nod to Bucs past and not Bucs present.
Watching Wednesday's afternoon practice, we took an unscientific but thorough survey of the first 50 fans we saw wearing Bucs jerseys in the crowd, and sure enough, exactly half of them were wearing jerseys belonging to players who no longer belong to the Bucs.
The most popular jersey? To no surprise, it's former Bucs linebacker Derrick Brooks, who had 15 jerseys in the 50 fans we tallied. Other popular ex-Bucs included Mike Alstott (5), John Lynch (2), Joey Galloway (2) and Jeff Garcia (1).
Most popular of the Bucs still with the team? Cadillac Williams leads the way with seven of his No. 24 jerseys, followed closely by Ronde Barber and Barrett Ruud with six each. Sabby Piscitelli had four -- they were in a cluster, so I'm thinking those might be family members -- and Earnest Graham had two.
What Bucs jersey do you wear when you're at a game or practice? Have you had to make a wardrobe change from last season due to personnel changes on the Bucs roster?
