Tiki says undecided Ronde undergoing surgery
The injury Ronde Barber sustained on Sunday in Atlanta was actually a broken right arm, according to his twin brother, Tiki.
Tiki Barber told the brothers' hometown newspaper, The Roanoke (Va.) Times, that Ronde is undergoing surgery today to repair the fracture. Tiki also seemed to suggest that Ronde is still undecided about his future. Ronde is considering retirement and could be swayed by the dismissal of coach Raheem Morris.
"I spoke to him (Wednesday) night and he knows he's got some decisions to make," Tiki, a former Giants great, told the newspaper.
Ronde is 36 and said on Sunday that he would take some time before coming to a decision about whether to continue playing. When I asked Ronde to elaborate on the process, he made it known he wanted to see how things played out on the coaching front and wanted to consult with some trusted associates, perhaps about his performance.
Last season, Barber made a decision about a month after the season concluded.
