Doug Martin, Clinton McDonald return for Bucs against Bears
It's "Revenge of the Hamstrung" today at Raymond James Stadium, as the Bucs get two key players back from extended absences -- RB Doug Martin will play for the first time since injuring his hamstring eight weeks ago, and DT Clinton McDonald is also back after missing four games with his own hamstring injury.
The Bucs are without four injured players, however: OC Joe Hawley (knee), OG Kevin Pamphile (concussion), WR Russell Shepard and RB Jacquizz Rodgers (foot), all inactive today. Also inactive is third QB Ryan Griffin, rookie OL Leonard Wester and rookie DE Channing Ward.
Tampa Bay had the same starting offensive line for the first eight games, but has two new starters today: Evan Smith filling in for Hawley at center, as he has during several games this season, and rookie Caleb Benenoch, who has been inactive in all eight games and steps into a big role replacing Pamphile as the starting left guard. Two other players can make their Bucs debuts in OL Ben Gottschalk and DE Ryan Russell, both elevated from the practice squad Saturday.
