Doug Martin practices again for Bucs; Pamphile still out
Bucs running back Doug Martin practiced for a second straight day with no apparent setbacks, but said he'll take "all the proper steps" as he returns from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for the past six games.
Martin showed no signs of any setback, and the same could be said for WR Mike Evans, who continues to practice even though as of Wednesday he had not been fully cleared from the league's concussion protocol.
The Bucs continue to be without starting left guard Kevin Pamphile, who has been in concussion protocol since last week's loss to the Falcons. He was in attendance at Thursday's practice but did not participate, making it more likely the Bucs will have Evan Smith stepping in at left guard for Sunday's game.
WR Russell Shepard, who missed the Falcons game with a hip injury, has not practiced since the injury and is likely to miss another game, so the Bucs will either again field only four receivers on Sunday, or will promote newcomer Josh Huff or Donteea Dye from the practice squad to the opening they still have on the 53-man roster.
