Doug Martin, Will Gholston back at Bucs practice
The Bucs' return to the practice fields Wednesday afternoon brought good news on the injury front, as RB Doug Martin and DE Will Gholston, who had injury questions after Sunday's win at San Diego, were both participating in practice.
Martin, who said he was "bent back" in the third quarter and played only one snap in the final 20 minutes, didn't appear to have any limitations. Gholston, who had six tackles in the Bucs' win, was on crutches in the locker room with his left foot in a boot, but was practicing and looked fine Wednesday.
Three other injured players -- S Chris Conte (chest), WR Adam Humphries (concussion) and TE Luke Stocker (ankle) -- were not at practice and remain more uncertain for Sunday's home game against the Saints.
The Bucs could have their top four running backs all healthy for essentially the first time this season if Martin's able to play, as Charles Sims is expected to return from injured reserve Sunday and Jacquizz Rodgers played Sunday after missing four games with a foot injury. Rookie Peyton Barber has been healthy and converted a fourth-and-1 play in Sunday's win.
