Few surprises in Bucs first depth chart

The Bucs released their first depth chart on Friday, which is obviously very preliminary, and there were very few surprises.

There was Leonard Johnson ahead of Johnthan Banks at right cornerback, Dekoda Watson ahead of Jonathan Casillas at strong-side linebacker and Gary Gibson - for now - starting in front of rookie Akeem Spence. RB Brian Leonard is listed as the backup to RB Doug Martin. The only new wrinkle is on special teams, where WR Eric Page is the main punt returner, and RB Michael Smith kick returner. Rookie RB Mike James is backup kick returner.
