FSU No. 1 back-to-back? Jameis Winston pulling for Ramsey

Could FSU produce the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft two years in a row? Ask Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston, the top pick in last year's draft, about cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who could go No. 1 to the Titans in this month's draft, and he's pulling for the back-to-back for his Seminoles.

"He's the best player in this year's draft," Winston said Saturday morning at Amalie Arena, where he was the celebrity starter for "One Walk to Cure Diabetes," which drew 4,500-plus to downtown Tampa. "If he had come out last year, he probably would have taken my spot. He's so great. I love his mentality. The way he does this things, he's aggressive, he's smart. He's just a great all-around player."

Winston is only a year removed from going through the draft process, and he said he's tried to offer encouragement to his former teammates at FSU trying to help their draft stock this year.

"I let them have their own experience, but I know they're going through so many things, dealing with agents, where they're training," he said. "I'll shoot 'em a text saying 'Good luck' on the days they need to show out. They're know they're family and I love them."
