Goldson will miss off-season work after ankle surgery
Bucs safety Dashon Goldson will likely miss off-season workouts while he recovers from minor ankle surgery, the team confirmed.
Goldson did not participate in the Bucs' three-day minicamp two weeks ago and coach Lovie Smith did not elaborate on his injury.
The Bucs do not seem too concerned about the injury, with one team official calling it, "a minor deal in the big picture.'
Goldson was suspended one game last season for an illegal hit to the head of an opponent and missed two others with a knee injury.
The cause of Goldson's ankle injury is undisclosed. It's bad timing for Goldson, who could use the reps to learn the Bucs new defense under Leslie Frazier.
