Greetings from Charlotte: Bucs-Panthers morning reading

December

Good morning from Charlotte -- the Bucs are hours away from putting their three-game win streak on the line against the NFL's hottest team, as Carolina has won seven in a row, including a win in Tampa back in October.

Lots of links to share to help get you to the 1 p.m. kickoff -- we'll be tweeting updates throughout the game and will have full coverage after as well ...

-- Rick Stroud writes about the emergence of rookie quarterback Mike Glennon, who has thrown for touchdowns in his first eight games, the first NFL player ever to do so. With three wins, the Bucs may have changed the team's future -- at quarterback, at coach and more. And Stroud writes that Carolina's turnaround from a year ago -- with a young QB and a coach in question -- might be a model for the Bucs' future.

-- Joe Smith's NFL notes look at Seattle's secondary, depleted by suspensions, and how the "Legion of Boom" could factor in the battle for home field in the NFC playoffs heading into a Monday showdown between the Seahawks and Saints.

-- Our weekly "Kickin' Back" Q&A is with running back Bobby Rainey, who talks about Willie Taggart, his love of tennis and old-school muscle cars and how his fiance can't beat him in a race.

-- Our weekly NFL predictions call for three upsets by road underdogs: the Falcons, Bears and Saints. Here's our scouting report on the game, and here's what others are saying about the game and who will win.
