'Hard Knocks hookup:' Bucs' Donovan Smith gets Disney package
Remember back in August, when in one of the outtakes from HBO's "Hard Knocks" show, Bucs tackle Donovan Smith getting grief from his teammates for having not seen several classic Disney movies?
Smith admitted he had never seen "Aladdin" or "The Lion King" -- though he correctly knew the meaning of "Hakuna Matata" -- and the folks at Disney were watching.
Smith posted photos on social media Friday showing a care package of DVDs sent to him from Disney to One Buc Place, with several new DVD movies -- Cinderella, Pinocchio, Lion King, Frozen, Finding Dory, Jungle Book and more -- along with a handwritten note.
"Don, Heard you haven't seen many of our films. Hope this package gets your teammates off your back," they wrote, signing the card "Your friends @ Disney."
Smith thanked Disney for the kind gesture -- "Appreciate it @Disney @DisneyStudios This package should definitely get my teammates off my back #ChildhoodRestored"
The timing couldn't be better, with Bucs players getting three days off for a long weekend after playing Thursday night against the Patriots.
