ATLANTA -- As expected, injuries will keep key players on both sides of the ball from playing for the Bucs against the Falcons today, including WR Vincent Jackson (knee) and TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder).

The Bucs are also without starting DT Clinton McDonald (pectoral) and backup DT Tony McDaniel (groin), along with S Major Wright (hamstring). The remaining inactives are healthy scratches -- former starting CB Tim Jennings is benched for the second week in a row, while No. 3 QB Ryan Griffin is inactive as normal.

With McDonald out, Akeem Spence will start at defensive tackle, and with only three healthy DTs, starting DE Will Gholston will help out inside as well, and the Bucs promoted rookie Josh Shirley from the practice squad Saturday, so he'll make his NFL debut today.

The Bucs will also stick with Joe Hawley at center, even though former starter Evan Smith was a full participant in practice this week as he returns from an ankle injury that has sidelined him since Week 2. Seferian-Jenkins has also been out since Week 2, so in his two seasons with the Bucs, he's now missed 12 of 23 games due to foot, back and shoulder injuries.
