Jackson limited with hamstring injury, Revis back
Though Bucs receiver Vincent Jackson was a surprisingly absent from the early portion of Wednesday's practice, coach Greg Schiano indicated there's no cause for concern.
Schiano said Jackson is bothered by a hamstring issue, but believes it's nothing serious. Schiano pointed out Jackson, like another veteran in Davin Joseph, was actually supposed to get an extra day off/treatment anyways.
"Vince had a little bit of a leg issue, I don't think it's real serious," Schiano said. "He was scheduled to be off today anyways. We're getting into the fourth quarter of the season and some of the guys that have played a lot of football, we've got to give them a third day or a Wednesday to get some extra rehab."
In other injury news, cornerback Darrelle Revis, who left Sunday's game early due to a chest/shoulder injury, was back at practice Wednesday, a good sign of his recovery. It would seem likely that Revis will play Sunday against the Bills.
*Schiano said LB Jonathan Casillas, put on injured reserve Monday, will have surgery on his injured knee soon.
*Schiano also said there should be an update soon on left guard Carl Nicks, who has missed most of the season with a foot injury and MRSA. Though Nicks hasn't been seen in the lockeroom during the media availability periods, Schiano said the All Pro is in Tampa, and the two are in touch often. Schiano said with Nicks having played in a while, and just a month left, they'll have to make a call on that soon.
