Dante Fowler, Jr. thrown out of practice after fight with Ali Marpet
Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler, Jr. didn't play nice Thursday with his hometown NFL team.
Fowler was kicked out of practice following a skirmish with Bucs guard Ali Marpet. The incident happened late during a two-hour joint practice session and Fowler was asked to leave the field.
The former Florida and Lakewood High School star was not present in the locker room during a period open to the media.
Bradley didn't see the fight but it had been made clear to both teams before the workouts that fighting would not be tolerated.
"Our deal was no fighting, no swinging, no anything like that,'' Jags coach Gus Bradley said. "It's just controlling that. You want to play at a frenzy. ... It's finding that place where you're playing a high level, high intensity, but within the rules."
Fowler missed his rookie season with Jacksonville after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on the first day or rookie minicamp.
