Licht hires Eagles scout as Bucs' national scout
With his first draft completed, Bucs general manager Jason Licht continues to reshuffle the team's front office, hiring longtime Eagles scout Andy Speyer as a national scout.
Speyer, 37, has worked for the Eagles for 12 years, the last 11 as a college scout, and he worked in Philadelphia with Licht from 2003-07. He's the second former colleague Licht has hired this week, following the hire of Patriots director of college scouting Jon Robinson as the team's new director of player personnel, working as Licht's right-hand man.
The Bucs should have an opening for a new director of college scouting, with Eric Stokes leaving to become assistant general manager for the Dolphins under former Bucs executive Dennis Hickey. It's unknown whether other front-office personnel will be retained moving forward.
