No Barron vs. Rams? Safety still sidelined
Bucs starting strong safety Mark Barron was not at Friday's morning practice, increasing the possibility that the hamstring injury he suffered last week could keep him from playing Sunday at the Rams.
Barron, who has been listed as "limited participation" for the past two days, was not on the field as the Bucs ran through walkthroughs of various plays, with Keith Tandy working with the first-team defense in his place. Defensive end Da'Quan Bowers, who has been limited by a knee injury, was also not in attendance.
If it's Tandy at safety for the Bucs on Sunday, he has the benefit of some familiarity, having played at West Virginia with two of the Rams' receivers, rookies Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey.
