The Bucs will be without starting receiver Vincent Jackson for "multiple" games due to his knee injury, though it's not expected to be season-ending, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday.

The Bucs haven't confirmed the severity of Jackson's injury. The team already has placed receiver Louis Murphy on injured reserve this week after a season-ending knee injury, and another receiver, Russell Shepard, has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.

The Bucs had promoted rookie Donteea Dye to the active roster and he had his first NFL catch Sunday with a touchdown against the Redskins. The team is expected to promoted a rookie from the practice squad, likely Adam Humphries, to take Murphy's roster spot.
